Located in Holetown, virtually in the middle of Barbados’ famous West coast is St James Parish Church. It is an Anglican Church and one of the most popular Churches on the island for both local & destination weddings. The Church has a rich history, and sits on one of the oldest parcels of consecrated land on the island. The original wooden structure was constructed in 1628, near the site where the first English settlers arrived in 1627, and most of the current structure dates back to 1874. The Church has been very well restored and maintained, with beautiful interior lighting and well maintained and extensive grounds. This provides a very useful option, to conveniently complete any family photographs immediately after the ceremony. The Church is located in close proximity to most of the hotel and villas on the Western side of the island and is within 3 minutes drive from a beautiful and easily accessible beach, and is also in close proximity to popular West coast restaurants, like The Cliff Restaurant, Tides Restaurant, and Cin Cin by the Sea used for intimate or bigger receptions.
